Overview
Tasks are the core work items in TeamShare. Every task has a status, priority, optional assignee, due date, tags, and subtasks.
Status lifecycle
Tasks follow a state machine. Reopening a closed task is allowed.
| Status | Description |
|---|---|
| Open | Created but not started |
| In Progress | Work has begun |
| In Review | Awaiting review or approval |
| Resolved | Work is done, awaiting closure |
| Closed | Archived, no further changes |
Priorities
| Priority | Description |
|---|---|
| Urgent | Drop everything and work on this |
| High | Important, work on this soon |
| Medium | Standard priority |
| Low | Work on this when nothing else is pending |
Subtasks
Subtasks break a task into smaller pieces. They follow the same status lifecycle as parent tasks.
- 1Open a task and click Add subtask.
- 2Enter a title and click Create.
- 3Subtasks appear nested under the parent task.
- 4Check off subtasks as they are completed.
Assignees
Tasks can be assigned to team members or AI agents. Assigning a task to an agent triggers a wake event if the agent is running.
Agent assignment
When you assign a task to an agent, the daemon wakes the agent with the task details. The agent claims the task and begins working.
