Terms of Service

The agreement that governs your use of TeamShare — accounts, content, agents, billing, and everything in between.

Last updated: August 19, 2026Applies to every account and workspace on TeamShare — individuals and organizations alike.

The short version

Plain English first. The numbered sections below are the binding text.

  • You own your content. We only host it and make it work across your workspace.
  • You're responsible for what you store — including secrets — and for what your connected agents do.
  • Payments are subscription-based and processed by Paystack.
  • Accounts that break these rules can be suspended. This agreement is governed by Nigerian law.

Acceptance of these terms

By creating an account or using TeamShare ("the service"), you agree to these Terms of Service ("these terms"). If you use the service on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind it. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

Read alongside our Privacy Policy

These terms work together with the Privacy Policy, which explains how we process your data.

Eligibility

You must be at least 16 years old, or the age of digital consent in your jurisdiction, and you must have the legal capacity to enter this agreement. By using the service you confirm both.

Your account

  • Accounts are for people, not bots. One account per human; never share your login.
  • You are responsible for everything done under your account. Use a strong password and keep it secret.
  • Agent API keys (they start with ts_) are credentials too — treat them like passwords.
  • Workspace invitations expire after 7 days; only invited people can join.
  • Keep your email current: we send payment receipts, security notices, and legal updates there.

If you believe your account was compromised, reset your password and tell us immediately.

Your content & license to us

You own the content you and your team create in TeamShare — tasks, documents, comments, chat, environment variables. You grant us a limited license to host, copy, store, and display that content solely to provide the service (for example, to render a document or deliver a notification).

We do not own your content, sell it, or use it to train models. Deleting content removes it from our systems per the Privacy Policy.

Acceptable use

You must not use the service to:

  • Store or distribute illegal content, malware, or material that infringes someone's rights.
  • Harass, threaten, or dox any person.
  • Attempt to break into accounts, workspaces, or systems you are not authorized to access.
  • Scrape the service at scale, or interfere with its operation (denial of service, load abuse).
  • Phish or impersonate others.
  • Store secrets you do not own, or use the service to launder stolen credentials.

Violating this section can get content removed, access suspended, or the account closed — at our sole discretion and without notice where the law requires it.

Secrets — your responsibility

Workspaces can store environment variables — real credentials for real systems. This is a privileged feature by design:

  • Only roles with Secret Manager permission can view values; every reveal is audited.
  • You are responsible for the secrets you store, who you invite, and how you rotate them.
  • Never paste secret values into tasks, comments, or chat — those are visible to workspace members and are not treated as secrets.
  • .env exports leave our systems under your control; handle them as production credentials.

We provide encryption, audit trails, and permissions — but we cannot be responsible for credentials that leak through your own sharing.

Agents & automation

TeamShare lets you connect agents that work from your own machine. You control them:

  • Agents only see projects you connect them to, and only act within the permissions of the API keys you issue.
  • You are responsible for the actions of agents running under your account — including commands they execute on your machine.
  • Agent activity (task changes, comments, replies) is logged and attributed, so everything is auditable.
  • Build agents work tasks you mark ready for development, in order, one at a time. You can pause or stop them anytime.

If an agent misbehaves, revoke its key, stop the build, and tell us. We will not fix consequences of an agent you configured.

Billing & payments

  • Paid plans are monthly subscriptions (in Naira, NGN) processed securely by Paystack with auto-renewal.
  • Subscription starts when payment succeeds. Upgrades apply immediately to the workspace.
  • You can cancel your subscription at any time from company billing settings.
  • Prices may change for future billing cycles; active subscribers retain their current price until the next renewal.

We never see or store your card details. All payment processing happens inside Paystack's systems.

Intellectual property

The service itself — the software, design, branding, documentation, and Agent Hub — is owned by TeamShare and its licensors. You get a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use it while you have an active account. You may not copy, modify, or resell the service.

Termination & suspension

You can close your account or delete any workspace at any time; data is deleted per the Privacy Policy. We can suspend or terminate access if you breach these terms, if required by law, or to protect the service and its users. Termination does not end obligations that survive by nature — like payment for completed purchases.

Disclaimers

The service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind — including fitness for a purpose, uninterrupted availability, or that agents or exports are error-free. You use agents and automation at your own risk. Where the law of your jurisdiction grants implied warranties, nothing here excludes them.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, TeamShare's total liability arising from these terms or the service — for any claim — is limited to the amounts you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including lost profits, lost data, or business interruption. Nothing limits liability for fraud, gross negligence, or death or personal injury caused by negligence.

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify TeamShare and its personnel against claims, damages, and costs (including legal fees) arising from your use of the service, your content, your agents, or your breach of these terms — except to the extent caused by us.

Governing law & disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. We will always try to resolve disputes informally first: email hello@teamshare.name.ng and give us 30 days. Disputes that remain are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Nigeria. If you are a consumer in a jurisdiction with mandatory protections, those protections still apply to you.

Changes & contact

We may revise these terms as the product evolves. Material changes are posted on this page with a new effective date and, where appropriate, emailed to workspace owners. Continued use after the effective date means you accept the revised terms.
